Gibby Haynes interviews Andrew VanWyngarden of MGMT on the day they start recording their album in the inaugural issue of Intercourse Magazine. I can't quite figure out who this band MGMT is, and when I see their name my brain translates it into "Management" which I'm sure is incorrect. Their website provides no further information on their name, but is a headache filled landscape of backgrounds that obscure the words.
Unfortunately you have to actually buy the magazine to read the interview. It looks like a luscious magazine, beautiful photos and random interviews.

mgmt is probably one of the greatest bands of the 21st century, if not ever, they've been approached by paul mccartney before, and you are absolutely correct their name was derived from the word management, but it was downsized to mgmt
I concur with Anonymous. When I think about it, Andrew VanWyngarden is not too far from being like that of a young Gibby, only minus the Texas...if you know what I mean. You should check them out. When they came out it was hard to get past thinking they would be another fly by night millennial pile of garbage, but they have turned out to be very wonderful. Think if Gibby and Michael Wayne Coyne from The Flaming Lips had a love child...and that can't be bad!
